Welcome Parents, Teachers and Students
to the 2009-2010 School Year!

Dear Twin Lakes Academy Middle Families,

  Welcome back to another exciting school year!  Twin Lakes Academy Middle (TLAM) PTSA is thrilled to have you as a part of our family!  There are many ways for you to be involved in your child’s education and joining the PTSA is just the beginning.  Research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved at home and at school. By joining the local PTSA here at TLAM you automatically become a member of both the Florida and National PTA.

  The elected PTSA Board members have already planned the goals and events for the 2009-2010 school year and we need your support!  Some of the initiatives we have budgeted for this school year include:

·         Science Fair

·         History Fair

·         Black History Fair

·         Teacher Appreciation

·         8^th Grade Dance

Throughout the 2008-2009 school year the TLAM PTSA, with your help, was able to support all of the above initiatives along with being able to purchase beakers for the Science departments, reading books for the English departments, hole punches for the teachers to use, and a microwave for the teacher’s lounge. 

When you join the TLAM PTSA your child will be entered into a drawing to win one of five $20 gift cards to either Wal-Mart or Target.  By joining on or before October 1, 2009 not only will your child be entered into the gift card drawing you will also give your child a chance to win a cupcake party!  Each team in the 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grades who has the most members will win a cup cake party.
